Hızır Ambulance’ company, which has been serving in the tourism city of Antalya for years, brought a series of innovations and comfort to the 2011 model ambulances it bought in order to increase the service quality. LCD televisions have been installed in the new ambulances so that the patient can easily watch from where they lie down, a DVD player is placed so that they can watch movies, and a refrigerator where cool drinks can be taken in the sweltering heat of summer.

Explaining that they are considering these innovations in order to make the patient feel at home or in the hospital room, company owner Ayhan Korkmaz said, “Patients and doctors welcomed the application very well. We received very positive reactions. In this way, long roads get shorter,” he said.

Korkmaz stated that television is definitely not used in emergency situations, and that it is preferred for the transport of patients whose treatment has been completed and who have simple ailments.
